The company has acquired a production facility operated by Aprch Beverage in Portland, Oregon.

Craft Canning + Printing, a subsidiary of US-based beverage company Eastside Distilling, has entered an asset purchase and services agreement with wellness beverage maker Aprch Beverage.

Under the agreement, Craft Canning has acquired a production facility operated by Aprch Beverage in Portland, Oregon.

The company has also been contracted to exclusively provide can printing and co-packing services for products distributed by Aprch in Washington State and Oregon, including all of Aprch’s cannabidiol (CBD) water flavours. 

Eastside CEO Geoffrey Gwin said: “We are excited to enter into this long-term relationship with Aprch, which has experienced stunning success building their CBD and wellness water brands. 

“This relationship launches Craft Canning into fixed co-packing CBD products with a world class client. 

“The deal highlights the value of our digital printing technology and our end-to-end production capabilities serving the Pacific Northwest.”

Craft Canning + Printing has provided services to the craft beverage industry throughout the Pacific Northwest since its foundation in 2012.

The company began supplying cans and services to Aprch last month.

Based in Portland, Aprch produces nutrient-rich drinks containing no calories, sugar or caffeine.

Aprch co-founder Brett Wiley said: “We are happy to be working with Craft Canning to provide our packaging needs and are excited to introduce a fully recyclable and sustainable can to our product lineup.”

In February this year, Eastside Distilling’s mobile packaging subsidiary, Craft Canning + Bottling, partnered with packaging solution provider Canadian Canning to offer full end-to-end canning services.

The partnership will allow Craft Canning to provide domestically manufactured Crown cans and economical and efficient solutions for its customers.

It also aims to help beverage producers improve their logistics, especially small to medium-sized beverage businesses that cannot meet the large minimums required by other canning companies.
