Advanced Tooling Systems (ATS) Packaging Machinery has announced that it is launching a new range of capping machines for food and drink applications.

The company says that the first entry-level model, named the Gemini linear machine, will deliver a fast return on investment “particularly for manufacturers requiring frequent changeovers or handling a wide variety of different container types”.

The capping machines will incorporate a fully programmable high-precision tightening technology that is suitable for many types of closures, including screw caps, push-on caps, dispensing pumps and spray triggers.

The Gemini linear capping machine offers flexibility due to its ability to specify between one to eight capping heads, and delivers speeds of up to 80 packs per minute – depending on the type of container handling system.

Richard Aitchison, ATS Packaging Machinery’s technical sales and product manager, said: “In today’s competitive markets, new product and pack developments are an ongoing process and companies often have to move quickly to meet market trends and changing consumer demands”.

He continued: “The flexibility of our machine provides customers with valuable future-proofing and the ability to respond quickly to new requirements with minimal cost”.
